John T. Stokes
Overview: John is a strategy and initiative leader with a proven history of developing and implementing impactful community development programs. He is skilled in leading complex projects and is highly experienced in assisting leaders and organizations in addressing identified needs and meeting objectives.
Professional Experience: Throughout his career at organizations like Truist Financial Corporation and BB&T, John has managed community development activities, led philanthropic strategies, and executed initiatives to improve access to capital in under-resourced communities. His work has directly resulted in millions of dollars in community investments and loans
Entrepreneurial Vision: : In 2023, John launched JDS to focus his expertise on empowering nonprofits. A key achievement includes the implementation of the Cummins Advocating for Racial Equity (CARE) Loan Program, which has lent over half a million dollars to minority-owned businesses.
